Vietnam has long been famous for its natural beauty. From the mountains to the sea, from the rainforests to the sand dunes, the country will wow you in every way you’d like. But if you only have less than a week for a getaway, there are a few places we especially recommend!
Located in the North of Vietnam, 300km away from Ha Noi, Vietnam’s Capital. Ha Giang is popular for its vast landscapes, such as Dong Van stone plateau, Lung Cu flagpole, Meo Vac, Quan Ba mountains, etc. The region has numerous majestic mountains, among which are Tay Con Linh peak (2419 m) and Kieu Lieu Ti peak (2402m). There are also many traditional and unique festivals of the ethnic locals.
Ha Giang is beautiful all year round. However, the best time is at the end of the year; from September to March, when Ha Giang is in its ‘full-bloom’ season, with ripe rice fields and thousands of flowers blooming.
If you are a hardcore hiker or biker, this destination is surely your dream come true!
Ancient and peaceful, Hoi An is absolutely a big YES for travelers of all tastes around the world!
Being the commercial port during the reign of the Nguyen dynasty –> (If you’d like to know more about the history, just visit Hoi An and find out for yourself). This little town is not only reminiscent of the past but it is also a perfect reflection of Vietnam’s unique traditions; with a mixture of several cultures, a bit of Japanese here, some of Chinese there, all combined in a very Vietnamese way.
Take a walk along the riverside, enjoy the sparkling brightness when thousands of lanterns are lit in the nightlife in Hoi An, you may feel like yourself is taking a trip to a magical fairyland.
(Do you know, it only takes you 45 minutes to get there from our Danang office?)
Phu Quoc is the largest island in Vietnam consisting of paradise beaches, romantic sunsets, evergreen forests, and a serene atmosphere, making it an ideal holiday destination for travelers looking for an escape from the bustling city life. From Ho Chi Minh City, it only takes you over an hour by flight to get there.
With its diverse landscapes from mountain to forest and sea, white sandy beaches and balmy weather almost all year round — since two-thirds of the island is covered in forestry — Phú Quốc is a holiday-goers’ paradise.
You can even explore the true Phu Quoc, get off the beaten path, visit a local port, the seafood rafts, salt fields, and/or a traditional fish sauce factory; along with the extraordinary thousand-year history of famous Vietnamese “Nuoc Mam” (AKA THE YUMMY AND FAMOUS FISH SAUCE). A holiday to Phu Quoc island is unmistakable.
4. Mekong Delta
Trying to find a place aside from the noisy urbanized city? But sick of the sun and the sea? Then you’ll love the Mekong Delta!
The Mekong River is the 12th longest river in the world and the 7th longest in Asia. It runs through six countries in total (China, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam). Mekong Delta, or the so-called Western region of Vietnam, is a large area which is comprised of 13 provinces – each one comes with a unique beauty and charm. This area is famous for its calming beauty of fruit-laden orchards, enormous rice fields and the authentic lives of locals that depend on the river to make a living. (Local residents that choose to live on the river have adapted to such lifestyles by innovating floating houses and floating markets. Try to picture it! A small village with all the necessities floating on top of a river.)
From Ho Chi Minh City, where Vietnam’s head office is based, it only takes you 1-2 hours by bike or bus to get there. Mekong Delta is highly recommended!
